can you ENDURE the HEAT?

PERO sabi nila, lamang pa rin ang ULTRAS kumpara sa TRI.  yung iba naman, gustuhin mang mag TRI eh nag iipon pa rin para sa bike. eh paano naman ung gusto lang mag multisport? san sila sasali?  bakit naman sila sasali dito?  this event was conceived primarily to serve as simulation for those joining the Ateneo Aquathlon slated on March 20, 2011. in line with the team's partnership with Microwarehouse, the official distributor of Blackberries in the Philippines, the team decided to make it open to the public as a way of sharing to the public the joys of multisport. Here is the write up from the organizers (which i am also a team member :) )  ENDURE is a buddin...

a tale of two medals

a year ago today, i became a marathoner. a lot of things happened from last year up until yesterday. well for one, for last year's marathon, there were a lot of organized group runs for all those joining the 1st condura skyway marathon. the bunch of takbo.ph members who were leveling up that time joined almost all the races that will help them prepare both physically, emotionally and financially for the condura marathon. for most of the first-time marathoners then joined the Rizal Day Run .  what i enjoyed the most then was the camaraderie that happens after big races such as this. For example, the boodle fight we had right after the Rizal Day Run.  last year, i was able to train with the same people from which i enjoyed our post-run get-together even to the point of watching Lola Ganush right after a race. Preparations for 2010 Condura Marathon was, you can say, a unified project for all involved. for this year's  marathon, things were different. a lot have bee...

where it all started.

coming home from a chill 2K run early tonight, Endure teammate and fellow takbo.ph pioneer Carina bbm-ed a message about Rico's blog for Condura 2011. I went to my pc and opened his blog and read his article. It was plain and simple, straight to the point. It briefly narrated how a brainchild of Jinoe Gavan was able to gather a group of enthusiastic runners, both newbies and  veterans alike, to celebrate the joys of running. from that simple idea, the thought of gathering people together to get to know each other, to be able to put names with their takbo.ph handles, was what started the "evolution" of running groups in the Metro. It revived the camaraderie of runners from all walks of life. Reading Rico's blog reminded me what made me want to join other races. It was because of the people I was with that time when I had my first LSD ,   my first CLP , and my First Condura . ayot? apir! sa uulitin! See you at the Skyway! :)
